Birthdays have always been very bittersweet. The boys don't totally get it yet and their birthdays are usually a tough day for me. It's always a day where I reflect on where "they should be." I try really hard not to focus on the delays, but focus on where we are going and what is next-so the day of their birthday is always a little tender.
This year, I didn't want to focus on how behind they are-I wanted to focus on who they are and their strengths. Paul and I, with the help from my mom, threw them a huge birthday party-complete with water slide.
We had the most awesome night celebrating them!!
The party was not complete without their "yield cake"
